(for families with children 3 and up)
Discovery Weekends returns for the autumn! Join us, make new discoveries and watch your imagination soar!
The Arboretum is home to many interesting wildlife. Some animals can be spotted out in the open while others shy away from view. As you explore the Arboretum grounds, look for clues and you'll discover some interesting facts about these wild animals that call the Arboretum home.
On Saturdays and Sundays, drop by the Stackhouse Education Center anytime between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, for this self-guided program for families with children 3 and older. Borrow one of our magnifying glasses (please remember to return it once you're done), grab an interactive activity guide and head out onto the grounds to see what wonders big and small await your discovery. There will be a surprise or two; a clue to follow; a rhyme or riddle to solve; and, always a fun nature exploration activity. Each week is a new discovery!
This program is free to our visitors; however, please consider making a donation of any size to help support the many valuable educational programs offered at the Arboretum.
