The Arboretum Grounds will be closed all day on Sunday, April 18 for our annual festival, Daffodil Day. Registration for this festival will close at 10AM on Saturday. We will not be able to accommodate walk-ins due to COVID restrictions.
Please note that this tour will not be available until autumn 2020 due to renovations at Greenwood Gardens. Please consider booking our "Horticulture and History Tour" instead.
Visit two of New Jersey's premier historic public gardens, Reeves-Reed Arboretum in Summit and Greenwood Gardens in Short Hills. These distinct estate gardens, located within 3.5 miles of each other, provide visitors with a glimpse into the stately life of families whose appreciation and love of the land flourished into a legacy.
The day includes 45 minute guided walking tours at each location, and allows time for lunch in between at one of the many fine area eateries in downtown Summit or Short Hills. Please note: Hat Tavern of Summit and Basilico of Short Hills, both offer a special garden lunch menu for A Day at Two Gardens visitors. Please contact them directly for a reservation.
For more information and details about Greenwood Gardens, please visit their website at greenwoodgardens.org or call 973-258-4026.
