LEDERHOSEN AND LAGERS: OKTOBERFEST RETURNS TO REEVES-REED ARBORETUM THIS FALL

February 19, 2026

SUMMIT, NJ – Prost! Reeves-Reed Arboretum is once again putting the “PUB” in public garden with its annual Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 4–8 pm.

For one festive autumn evening, the Arboretum will transform into a bustling beer garden featuring seasonal craft brews courtesy of sponsor Peerless Beverage Company, along with sizzling bratwurst, giant pretzels, and hearty German sides from sponsor Barth’s Market.

The party will be complete with a lively five-piece German band, classic lawn games, and nonstop dancing. Break out your lederhosen or dirndl—festive attire is highly encouraged!

“Oktoberfest is one of our most spirited celebrations of the year,” says Jackie Kondel, Executive Director of Reeves-Reed Arboretum. “The gardens are stunning in the fall, the music is infectious, and the food and beer bring everyone together. It’s a night full of laughter, dancing, and community—and all for a great cause.”

All proceeds support Reeves-Reed Arboretum’s mission of connecting people to nature through flourishing gardens, woodland trails, award-winning educational programs, and community events. By raising a glass at Oktoberfest, guests champion a local treasure—a nonprofit organization that relies on community support to keep its gates open 365 days a year and admission free for everyone.

Your ticket includes unlimited food and drink—just bring your appetite (and your dance moves)! Guests must be 21+ to attend. Space is limited, so advance registration is strongly recommended. For tickets and details, visit reeves-reedarboretum.org. For questions or sponsorship opportunities, email k.cerf@reeves-reedarboretum.org.
