June 5th Outdoor AED Equipment Dedication & Community Celebration Event at Reeves-Reed Arboretum in Summit, NJ
The Aliver Foundation, in partnership with Reeves-Reed Arboretum will host a family-friendly community celebration event on Friday, June 5th from 5:30pm – 6:30pm at the Arboretum to dedicate the Foundation’s donation of highly visible, bright yellow, all-weather, climate-controlled AED equipment.
“With thousands of guests visiting the Arboretum annually, having this lifesaving equipment installed outside and easily accessible for our visitors is an important step in supporting the safety and well-being of our community,” said Jackie Kondel, Executive Director of Reeves-Reed Arboretum. “We are incredibly grateful to The Aliver Foundation for their support and their commitment to advancing this life-saving work.”
Held during CPR & AED Awareness Week, observed nationally each year from June 1 to June 7, the celebration also supports a nationwide call to action established by Congress in 2007 to empower the public with the life-saving skills needed to respond to sudden cardiac arrest.
The event will offer something for all ages, including kids activities, an interactive CPR/AED demonstration led by Summit EMS, along with an opportunity to meet these wonderful first responders.

The Aliver Foundation raises awareness and funds to place outdoor AED equipment in recreation spaces while also providing crucial resources and educational opportunities to individuals and communities. Its goal is simple: to save lives and help hearts by increasing the number of highly visible, bright yellow, all-weather, climate-controlled AED equipment bundles in outdoor recreation spaces; educating about cardiac arrest, CPR, AED usage, and the difference between sudden cardiac arrest and heart attacks; and offering resources and support to sudden cardiac arrest survivors and their loved ones.
Founded in January 2024, The Aliver Foundation has helped place nearly 150 outdoor AED equipment bundles in public recreation spaces and is currently working with community partners in more than ten states. More than 100 of those outdoor AED equipment bundles are located in Union County, New Jersey. Each outdoor AED equipment bundle The Aliver Foundation places costs $2,500 and consists of a CE TEK 4000 outdoor AED enclosure and Stryker AED. Once funding is secured, the Foundation identifies a new community, works with its First Responder Committee to identify an appropriate public recreation space, and engages with the municipality to facilitate the donation.
