The Nature of Glass - Beautiful Birds: Saturday, May 4

The Nature of Glass:  A collaboration between Reeves-Reed Arboretum and The Morris County School of Glass
(for ages 8 and up)

Part 1: Glassblowing
Saturday, May 4 from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm (participants sign up for a half hour session) at The Morris County School of Glass (89 Whippany Road in Morristown).

Flowers are blooming and the birds are singing and glassblowing is awesome any time of year! The sounds of Spring are finally here and you can capture the moment in glass at the Morris County School of Glass.

Sculpt a beautiful colorful bird out of glass and connect to nature. Your little glass bird will be a reminder that Spring always comes!

Part 2: Discovery Saturdays
Saturdays in May from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at Reeves Reed Arboretum (165 Hobart Avenue, Summit).

After the glass cools overnight, pick it up at Reeves-Reed Arboretum any Saturday in May from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and learn about the many incredible birds that call the Arboretum home. Each week you will learn about a new bird through experiments, stories, games, and crafts.

Participants can also borrow an Arboretum backpack loaded with binoculars, field guides, a magnifying glass and everything else needed for outdoor Arboretum adventure! Registration is not required for this part of the program.
