Celebrate the summer at Reeves-Reed Arboretum, where nature and the arts collide!
Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and picnic baskets to Reeves-Reed Arboretum as we kick off another summer series of four concerts in the garden. Sounds of a Summer Night 2019 commences with INKUBATE®, on Wednesday evenings, June 26, July 10, and July 31. INKUBATE® is a collaboration between the New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble and Reeves-Reed Arboretum offering three "enchanting and exhilarating" evenings of site-specific dance performances on the Arboretum grounds. This summer dance festival features master choreographers and dancers from renowned national and international companies, creating new works especially for INKUBATE®, reimagining dance as it interacts with nature and the surroundings.
The closing performance of the series, scheduled for Wednesday, August 7, will feature Bindlestiff Family Cirkus. Since 1995, the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus has traveled the world bringing its unique hybrid of vaudeville, circus, burlesque and sideshow to theatres, clubs, colleges, and festivals, for audiences of all ages. Bindlestiff adds a contemporary twist to the grand traditions of American circus.
The Arboretum grounds open up at 6:00 pm for concertgoers to picnic and the performance is from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. All events are rain or shine, unless otherwise noted.
The series is free to RRA Members (thanks to underwriting support from Investors Bank) and $15 per person donation for Non-Members ($5 for student tickets which must be purchased at the gate). Please note that for the final performance, featuring the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, the donation will be $20 for Non-Members and $10 for students.
INKUBATE® and RRA's Sounds of a Summer Night 2019 are proudly sponsored in part by a grant from Investors Foundation.
