The Nature of Glass - Part 1 Glassblowing: Saturday, September 14

The Nature of Glass:  A collaboration between Reeves-Reed Arboretum and The Morris County School of Glass

(For adults and children ages 16 and up)

Try your hand at glassblowing and make your own infused olive oil by harvesting herbs and combining them with olive oil in your new bottle. We will be using all-natural corks to seal the bottles with the oil.

Part 1: Glassblowing
Saturday, September 14 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm (participants sign up for a half hour session) at The Morris County School of Glass (89 Whippany Road in Morristown {Exit 1B off NJ 24W}).

Come experience the art and craft of glassblowing at the Morris County School of Glass. Learn to manipulate 2,100-degree molten glass into a beautiful bottle with customized colors of your choosing. Your handmade bottle will be a great addition to your home!

Part 2: Herb Infusing
Saturday, September 21 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Reeves Reed Arboretum

Now that you have your bottle, it's time to create your infused oil at the Arboretum! After a short tour of our herb garden, learn about the different types of herbs and what will work best with olive oil. Sample several different infused oils then select from a variety of herbs to create your new kitchen masterpiece!
