A fuzzy ball of a bird has fallen from its nest and now sits in your hands: what do you do? Many people have faced this dilemma and felt more helpless than the bird.
On Saturday, April 6 at 10:00 am, Giselle Smisko, co-founder of The Avian Wildlife Center, will share her experiences in avian rehabilitation. She will guide us in how to handle situations where we find helpless or injured birds and how we can help prevent many of the problems that threaten our wildlife. And, of course, she will be bringing a resident bird or two for us to meet and hear their stories.
This program will be held at Wild Birds Unlimited (2520 US Highway 22 East, Scotch Plains). To register, please contact Wild Birds Unlimited at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This program is a collaboration between Reeves-Reed Arboretum and Wild Birds Unlimited and is free to the general public.
