Experience the joy of painting outdoors during the height of daffodil season at Reeves-Reed Arboretum in this plein air painting workshop led by artist Eric Alexander Santoli. Surrounded by sweeping spring color, participants will work directly from the landscape, capturing the beauty and energy of the Arboretum in bloom.
The workshop will focus on rapid, alla prima (one-sitting) painting techniques, helping artists interpret the landscape efficiently while responding to changing light and weather conditions. Instruction will emphasize developing strong compositions, effective use of color theory, and confident decision-making when working outdoors.
This special program also coincides with Reeves-Reed Arboretum being featured in an upcoming episode of Eric’s new public television series, Eric En Plein Air.
Open to all experience levels. All watercolor supplies are included; however, participants are welcome to bring their own materials and mediums if they prefer. Participants are encouraged to bring a camping chair with a cup holder and an easel, if they have one.
In the case of inclement weather, the program will be postponed to a rain date on Saturday, April 18, from 11 am–1 pm. Students will be notified of any program changes due to weather.
The cost is per person. Registration is required, so be sure to register early as space is limited.
Member Price: $70 | Non-Member Price: $85
