Join us for a delightful day exploring two of New Jersey’s hidden gems: Cross Estate Gardens and Willowwood Arboretum. This scenic Somerset Hills tour features lush formal and native gardens and historic trees of Cross Estate, an early twentieth-century landscape characteristic of the Arts and Crafts period, then continues to the serene and expansive Willowwood Arboretum, home to rare plants, sweeping meadows, Japanese garden, woodlands, peaceful walking paths, and more. The Cross Estate tour will be led by estate docents, and the Willowwood tour will be led by RRA Director of Horticulture, John Beirne.
We will then head to the charming downtown of Chester for a Victorian Tea lunch at Sally Lunn’s Tea Room and some leisure time. Whether you are a garden lover, history buff, or just looking for a peaceful getaway, this curated day trip is the perfect escape.
Trip includes roundtrip transportation via private mini-bus, two guided garden tours, and Victorian Tea Service (tea sandwiches, scones, tea and dessert; gluten free bread, scones and desserts are available). Reserve your spot and uncover the hidden beauty of New Jersey’s gardens! Trip is non-refundable unless your spot can be filled by another guest.
