Bordering Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge this section of the Passaic River boasts awesome scenery and lots of wildlife. You’ll feel at one with nature as the river’s twists and turns carry you past beaver lodges, over their dams and deeper into the refuge’s soul.
Led by an ACA (American Canoe Association) certified kayak instructor from Kayak East, this tour is rated “Easy” meaning no experience is necessary. This tour is great for paddlers of any skill level. Photographers, bird watchers and anyone who wants to get outside and enjoy nature will also love it! Registration is required.
Plan to meet at the Essex County Nature Center’s outside lot at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour for boat fit. Directions and additional information will be provided upon registration. Questions? Please e-mail j.kondel@reeves-reedarboretum.org.
