Calling All Homeschoolers!
Are you looking for somewhere new and exciting to take your homeschool student? The Education Team at Reeves-Reed Arboretum is excited to announce the first of our programs created specifically for homeschoolers: "Homeschool Happenings!" We've been working hard to create classes that cater to the needs of homeschool groups and families. Our lessons can be adapted to accommodate school-age children at all levels. Sign up as a group or as an individual – whichever works best for you! If you are looking to give your science curriculum an extra boost, check out our topics for the upcoming spring semester!
Reeves-Reed Arboretum provides the perfect setting to learn through experience and hands-on activities, all while enjoying the beauty of nature. In schools, most science classes are taught from inside a classroom. Here, children will get to learn about the wonder of our environment while being immersed in it.
Listed below are topics and dates for the first spring semester of Homeschool Happenings. You can sign up for as many as you'd like! They are offered every other Thursday from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
March 5: Animal Signs
March 19: Spring Flowers
April 2: Gardens and Greenhouses
April 16: Bees & other pollinators
April 30: Blooming Bulbs
May 14: Forest Ecology
May 28: Metamorphosis
