Second Saturday Strolls

Join Arboretum horticulture staff for a casual walking tour!  Second Saturday Strolls are offered monthly from April through October, and showcase seasonal highlights of the Arboretum’s gardens and horticultural collections.  Pre-registration is not required.

Location: Meet at the Louise Muncie Roehm Greenhouse; tours take place outdoors on the Arboretum grounds

Cost: FREE for members / $5 non-members

 

April: Spring Bulbs

                Date: Saturday, April 14

                Time: 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm

A walking tour of the gardens featuring the Reeves-Reed’s magnificent display of spring-blooming bulbs.  See snowdrops, glory-of-the-snow, and of course, tens of thousands of daffodils!

 

 

May: Spring-Blooming Trees and Shrubs

                Date: Saturday, May 12

                Time: 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm

Join Arboretum horticulture staff for a walking tour of the gardens at the height of spring bloom, and see crabapples, lilacs, azaleas, and silverbells at their finest!

               

 

June: Scent-Sational Roses of Reeves-Reed Arboretum!

                Date: Saturday, June 9

                Time: 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm

Stroll through our historic – and aromatic – rose garden in peak bloom!  The Arboretum's rose collection features a fragrant array of roses both old and new, from classic hybrid teas to informal climbers and ramblers.  Throughout the month of June, public gardens all over New Jersey will be hosting exhibits, demonstrations, and classes that focus on fragrance.  This month-long program is sponsored by Garden State Gardens, a not-for-profit consortium of New Jersey's public gardens.
