  Eastern United States
   

Description of Plant:
  This plant grows up to 2 feet tall.  It
  grows in clumps and has red-tinged
  stems with gray-green leaves.

Interesting Facts:
  The common name, bleeding heart,
  refers to the heart-shaped flower
  with its red "drop" of "blood"
  between the two spurs.
