Black-Eyed Susan
Rudbeckia 'Rachel's Eyes'
    

Flower Color:
  Yellow ray florets and a brown
  gum drop-like center

Flower Shape:
  Solitary daisy-like flowerheads

Season of Bloom:
  Mid to late summer

Range:
  North America
   

Description of Plant:
  Black-eyed Susans can grow up to 3
  feet tall.  Their leaves are 3 inches
  to 6 inches long.

Interesting Facts:
  They make good cut flowers.  They
  were named for two Swedish
  botanists of the 18th century: Olaf
  Rudbeck and his son.
