Autumn Snake-root
Cimicifuga simplex 'Brunette'

Flower Color:
  Purple-tinted, off-white

Flower Shape:
   Bottlebrush-like racemes

Season of Bloom:  
   Fall

Range:  
   Russia, China, Mongolia, Korea, Japan

Description of Plant:
   This plant grows up to 3 feet tall.  It has leaves
   that are between 1  foot and 1 1/2 feet long
   with irregularly lobed leaflets.

Interesting Facts:
   The plants are reported to have insecticidal
    properties.
