Professional Development Workshops for Teachers

Reeves-Reed Arboretum is a registered Professional Development Provider.  All our workshops are designed around the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards.  Come to our site and meet and interact with educators in other districts, or let us come to your school and present a workshop tailored to your specific needs.  Either way the experience is guaranteed to be exceptional and your teachers will come away with lesson plans and curriculum ideas ready for the classroom.

Past workshop topics have included:

  • Project Learning Tree

  • Project Wild, Project Wet

  • Bird Identification

  • Tree Identification,

  • Bridges to the Natural World

  • Rearing Monarch Butterflies

  • WILD School Site

  • Schoolyard Gardening

Professional Development Workshops are held at the Arboretum, 165 Hobart Ave., Summit, NJ.  For information on 2006 calendar dates, please call Michelle Wiessner, Director of Children's Education, at 908.273.8787 Ext. 14.
