Reeves-Reed Arboretum regularly presents many interesting programs which are available both to members and the community.


2007 Workshops


Rose Pruning Workshop

Fee:

Free for members; $10, non-members

Learn how to prune hybrid teas, shrubs and climbers with Reeves-Reed Arboretum horticulturists. Bring clippers, loppers, and small hand saws if you have them.

Tool Sharpening
Monday, April 9 at 1:00 pm

Bring your dull tools and have them sharpened by members of the Reeves-Reed Arboretum horticultural staff. Bring shears, pruners, loppers, etc.

Please RSVP to Lisa at 908-273-8787 x10. Sharpening is free to members who RSVP. Walk-ins and non-members $10.


General Care of Houseplants
Tuesday, April 24 at 1:00 pm

Reeves-Reed Arboretum's horticulturist, Aimee Browning, will give tips on caring for you house plants.  Class meets in the greenhouse.

Propagation of Houseplants
Thursday, July 19 at 9:30 am

RRA's Greenhouse Manager, Karen Moore, will explain how to take stem, leaf and leaf section cuttings for propagation.  You will leave with printed instructions and a selection of potted cuttings to take home.  Class meets in the greenhouse.
