Reeves-Reed Arboretum has 5-1/2 acres of formal gardens.  The gardens represent design trends of the early 20th century.  A map of the Arboretum grounds and description of the grounds are available.  Also we have a wildflower guide depicting some of the many flowers that can be found at Reeves-Reed Arboretum.

The century-old Wisner House, the Keller Azalea Garden, and the Reeves-Reed Rock Garden have all been restored recently.  Approximately 850 shrubs and 25 trees have been planted in the Azalea Garden and the Rock Garden to reveal the original and artistic landscaping design of low-growing shrubs.  The grounds of the Arboretum consist of formal garden settings, like the Rose Garden which has 286 rose bushes, including climbing roses, shrubs, hybrid tea roses, old fashioned roses, hedge, and samples of the annual All American Rose Society (AARS) winners, which date back to the 1950's.  The roses are in full bloom in June through October.

Beyond the formal gardens are woodland and wetlands, which showcase native trees and plants.  The professionally-maintained gardens demonstrate the lastest horticultural practices.  Throughout the Arboretum, plants and trees are labeled for self-study.  There are benches in most of the gardens for visitors to sit, relax and enjoy the serenity.

The Reeves-Reed Arboretum is listed on the National Register and the New Jersey Register of Historic Places.
