The Shop is sleek and fully replenished for spring. Stainless steel designs for home decor add contemporary grace notes to the many novel diversions selected at both the Atlanta and New York gift shows. New shipments arrive daily.

"Cheer!" any entrance with the coconut mats brightly arrayed with songbirds on a bough, topiaries, or a pine forest. Pesky squirrels in your yard? Seek out the Shop's specialty corner of bird feeders for the latest devices to baffle the intruders.

In the new and expanded children's section, finds include a zingy painted swing, adorable plush animals, gardening and craft kits, binoculars and books.

Got socks? Yes socks in the Garden Gift Shop for young and old, sporting everything from dogs and cats to penguins, frogs and ladybugs.

Many books are available. Of particular interest are The Clearing on the Hill: The Story of Reeves-Reed Arboretum by Betty McAndrews and Emily Dickinson's Gardens by Marta McDowell, Reeves-Reed horticulturist. The Clearing on the Hill, a much anticipated book gives a recorded history of the property, house and gardens at Reeves-Reed from a one time country estate to a historic national site.
